Conflict

A state of disharmony between incompatible or antithetical persons, ideas, or interests.

To work as a group we need to understand some common grounds. Better understanding of collaboration and the right management or co-ordination is required. Reflecting on the course our collaboration group worked well together, we worked hard and some of us worked even harder without complaint.

Some of the things I believe we did to have an environment to avoid conflict are:

- Recognising and respecting areas of common ground
- Building on mutual strengths for maximum benefits
- Encouraging generosity and goodwill
- Having a real purpose and not just getting together for the sake of it
- Acknowledging and respecting differences

Our group my have gone through this course without any disputes or conflict, but if we did the course of action was to try to negotiate with the persons involved, or to allow the power of our group leader to take action and make the executive decision.
